Arthrograms No special preparation
Trigger Point No special preparation
Prolotherapy No special preparation
Epidural, Facets, Blocks, Discogram, Radiofrequency Ablation for Pain, Vertebroplasty, Spinal Cord Stimulator Trial Nothing to eat 6 hours prior to procedure.
Nothing to drink 2 hours prior to procedure.
Labs: PT/INR and platelet within the last 60 days.
If you are taking Coumadin or Plavix, please call for instructions.
You need a driver to take you home.
Please bring any films/Xrays or reports.

Pelvis (OB: Abdominal & Vag. if indicated) Patients must have a full bladder. Finish drinking 36 ounces of water one hour prior to exam. Do not empty bladder after initiating drinking

Lower Extremity Arterial with Segmental Pressures No special preparation
Physiological Vein Study No compression hose for 2 days prior to exam

CT Scan

***All CT scans of the brain, neck, chest, abdomen and pelvis potentially involve the administration of contrast.
Brain, Neck, Chest, Abdomen and Pelvis Drink 32 oz of water 6-12 hours prior to CT.
Nothing to eat for 4 hours prior to exam, except for medications, which may be taken with water.
Extremity or joint No special preparation

Xray

IVP - Intravenous pyelogram Nothing to eat or drink after midnight prior to exam. If IVP is scheduled in the afternoon, a clear liquid breakfast is allowed before 9:00 am.
